The sugar baron strikes again!

A couple of patriots from Lincolnshire attended a very interesting meeting held in Leeds last week to hear Norman Scarth speak about his experience in Arnley gaol. Suffice to say Norman was as usual in good spirits, pleased to see everyone and showing great determination to continue his fight against the system. This is the same system that has tried to deny him his freedom, sanity and even his life.
Norman mentioned that he was denied his medication early on in his "stay," stamps and paper were also confiscated etc. As time went by he was treated a little better by the prison guards at the lower level. Norman said that those with a sense of humanity never rose above a certain "rank" and those at the top of the prison system were not very nice. He mentioned to us all that prisons are not the holiday camps that people on the outside are led to believe. It was mentioned that the media report that prisoners are allowed to watch colour tv, with Norman continuing "I believe that is a form of punishment - why would I want to watch their drivel! (or words to that effect)"
Norman said that when he is at home he likes to sit up in bed and read or think about things, which he couldn't do because the second bunk was quite low above his bottom bunk. Norman, on his own in the cell and being of true British fighting spirit later put a table up against the bunk beds and climbed onto the top bunk so he could sit up! Can you believe this - an 85 year old man climbing onto a table to get on a high level bed - brilliant - all you 70 yr olds take note
He delighted the crowd with his stories and one which stuck out against many was when he said that when he was able to he used to go to the stores to purchase sugar and then became known as the Sugar Baron of the wing. It was also pleasing to hear him say that news of our demonstrations got back to him in prison.

Norman also spoke about the rioting and what he felt was behind it. Almost identical to our article here, he basically said he believed it was pre-planned and used to get a gullible public to ask for further increased police powers. This followed in the wake of the Ian Tomlinson case. You can view a video of that incident here,
It was great to see people from all over the country come at very short notice and especially good to see a growing number of people helping to resist. There was much good news on court cases and history is being made with reasserting our rights - something the establishment wish us to forget about.
One further comment we would like to make is the fact that some people who went to visit Norman had to give photographic i.d (which I believe is usual nowadays) but were also asked for their thumb/hand to be scanned - a bit like biometric i.d. As one person rightly commented "they are just building up their databases." Everyone of us needs to stop and challenge this loss of our own identity.
Post Meeting
Below is part of an email we received from Norman:
To those who could not make it to the Leeds Meeting last evening (Tuesday). The general feeling was that it was brilliant - but Oh So Few! Several people came from far afield, but Leeds & Bradford people were indeed very few.
Henry V before Agincourt comes to mind, "We Few, we Happy Few, we Band of Brothers - for he today that sheds his blood with me shall be my brother: be he ne'er so vile, this day shall gentle his condition, & gentlemen in England now abed, shall feel themselves accurs'd they were not here, & hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks who fought with us upon St. Crispin's Day!"

Subsequent to this there was a demonstration held on Thursday 29th in north Leeds including a call for the sadistic Judge Jonathan Rose to resign. Many patriots were there with video cameras to film the occasion. We are told there was a heavy police presence in the area, however, it was not for Norman and his friends. Readers may be interested to know that it was the jewish new year and the police were there to protect jewish interests (from whom?). One wonders how much this cost and who was footing the bill - I think we all know.
