For the first time in its 28 year history, Lincolns world famous Christmas Market has been cancelled due to snow! Organisers have decided to pull the plug on the event due to health and safety concerns. Upto 100,000 visitors normally attend the market each year and is a great event. This is much the same as people travelling to places in europe to go to Christmas markets there. Lincoln businesses welcome this extra boost to trade so they will now lose out this year and due to the economic outlook (designed by the Bilderbergs) some may have to close.

Clearly, the controlling influence over our lives seems to get more and more onerous each month, as nanny knows best which some would construe as Socialism/Communism. Yes people could slip over in the snow or may find it difficult to drive etc etc but at the end of the day that would have been peoples freedom to choose, which has now been taken away from them. Who would have thought that we could have snow in December? perhaps they should have been more prepared - contingency plan?. One wonders how many get cancelled due to weather in places like Belgium, France and Germany?

Some would say that snow is the perfect weather for a Christmas market as that is what most people wish to see on Christmas day. Never mind, we gotta be safe!

PS: Organisers say they do not have the insurance to cover the event because it would be dangerous. This is what happens when you have a claim culture brought on by the likes of Cherie Blair etc. It is happening with many events like firework displays being cancelled. Some parishes even have to put up guards around christmas trees/decorations for insurance purposes!
