HUBBARD HILLS TOILETS SAVED
We bring you welcome news of a small victory for the people of Louth and good old Common Sense.
There is an old park in Louth called Hubbards Hills that is used by thousands of visitors and locals each year. The local council were refusing to help save the public conveniences and were going to close them on 1st October, which would have had the knock on effect of less visitors and people actually using them as a "toilet" behind the wall anyway - as has happened where public toilets have closed elsewhere.
During a recent by-election, local BNP candidate, Jez Boothman stood with this as his number one priority and was determined to try and save them from closure. A non-political petition was formed, which local members used to collect 184 signatures which was then handed in to East Lindsey District Council.

Well, it appears that Hubbard's Hills Trust have now agreed to "reluctantly" take over the running of the toilets, thus preserving them for the future which is a victory for the local people. You can read more about it here.
Reacting to the news, Jez Boothman said "This is great news for the local people and I am pleased to have played my part" and local East Lindsey Organiser Jeff Drew said "we managed to rally a great team of decent patriots together to help with the petition, leafleting and canvassing in the area and it is now brilliant news that these facilities are saved."
People power again wins the day!
Well done to all who helped.
