BNP Firmly On The North Holme Map

East Lindsey BNP candidate, Jez Boothman
On Thursday 17th June, Lincolnshire British National Party were contesting a by-election in Louth for the North Holme ward of East Lindsey District Council. The result is below:
Philip Sturman, Labour 142
Fran Treanor, Conservative 111
Jez Boothman, British National Party 102 (19.8%)
Mary Finch, Liberal Democrat 88
Susan Locking, Independent 72
Turnout 28%
With the Liberal Democrats smearing (load of rubbish) the party in one of their leaflets and the other parties conducting good campaigns it was always going to be difficult to win, but we came a very solid third, just 9 behind the Conservatives and 40 behind Labour. It was pleasing to beat the Lib Dem candidate, especially as it was a Lib Dem seat. Perhaps the 177 postal votes swayed this election as so often happens.
Thanks to all those who helped in this hard fought campaign.
WELL DONE JEZ + TEAM
