A new planning application has been submitted for a purpose built mosque complete with minaret, on the former site of the Grade 2 listed St Matthews church in Boultham . You can read some information about it here

Readers may like to recall what a certain Labour councillor said at the planning committee meeting for the proposed conversion last year - "there were no problems whatsoever and it should be granted permission." Full article here. (maybe parking an issue? Ed)
