Tory Controlled Lincolnshire County Council Spends Taxpayers’ Money like Water
By UncleAlbert on Sep 3, 2008 | In Local
At a time when Lincolnshire residents are struggling to get by, due to increasing taxes, rising food and fuel prices, it has emerged that Lincolnshire County Council has spent £1.7million telling us how good they are.
The Tory controlled council now employs 31 people in the public relations department where the costs have spiralled 91% from the already enormous figure of £894,858 in the previous financial year.
Supposedly, the £1.7 million spent this year is to reassure the public that the council is looking after them and the increased costs were needed to rebuild confidence in the council following previous scandals.

For all those people voting for the Conservatives, all we can say is that you get that for which you vote! Is there any real difference between Labours council tax and the Tories old poll tax?
Our Lincolnshire correspondent would like to know why this money is not being used for much more worthwhile causes, which just a few examples are below:
Reducing peoples overall council tax bills;
Helping pensioners to heat there homes;
Keeping Lafford High School open in Billinghay/towards education costs;
Police funding;
Paying for cancer treatment that is deemed too expensive;
Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air ambulance (grounded today);
RNLI;
The list is endless.
